UGA Grade Report for Spring?

This doesn't feel like the right place to post this, but I'm not sure where it really belongs. I was actually looking for something else, but I came across this grade report for fraternities for Spring 2008.

http://www.uga.edu/ifc/academics/Spring08.pdf

What's bizarre about it to me is that it reports the all sorority average as being 3.14 for the semester and the all women's average as being 3.26. (Typically the greek women's average is higher than the general average.)

I can't find a sorority grade report for Spring 2008 to compare it too, and it just seems that considering that the all sorority average was a 3.33 in the Fall, the sorority women's average for spring is kind of a bid drop considering your talking about 3000+ women.

Did UGA Greek life ever release a spring sorority grade report? Is the average on here right?

Spring report

For some reason the office of greek life always posts the fraternity report before the sorority report - for fall it came out almost a month before. That does seem like a big drop in GPA for the sororities in the Spring. My daughter is an active there now, and her house took a huge drop in the fall from the previous year, so I am hoping they came up in the spring. The reports are usually posted on the greek life page.

At ;east they post them. At UT, they won't post the Sorority reports. It's some kind of agreement among the chapters

I actually wondered if that was the direction that UGA was going in. There used to be a whole bunch of them going back several years, and now the only one posted is Fall 2007.

I thought there were some advisers to UGA sororities on here and I was hopeful that they could offer some insight.

I'm guessing that they just switched the two by accident.

AGDee 07-12-2008 06:17 PM

I don't think they were switched because it stays all undergrad GPA is 3.16 and all men is 3.04, so all women would have to be higher to pull up those guys to a 3.16. Although, it does seem the sorority women's is off because it's not high enough to get the All Greek average of 3.19 when the men's is 3.05. Something isn't jiving.

I was hoping that someone who goes to UGA might have a copy and could tell us what was up.

I remember messaging someone here when we were talking about spring rush and numbers who commented that the grade reports were due to her national organization by a certain date, so I imagine that they had to be released to someone, right?

I think SDT was first in grades and then AOII was second. I could be wrong though...I want to say the two top chapters had somewhere in the 3.46 and above range maybe.

This is what is was in the fall:

The groups you named always do well.

I could be wrong, but there have been some changes in the Greek Life office at UGA this past year, and it seems to me that the slowness in posting of grades may be related to the new website, etc. Grades used to be posted in a much more timely manner.

I've heard that too. And the the redesign of the website may be why some of the old ones were taken down.

And of course I don't really NEED to see the grade report; the data on the guys' list just made me wonder.

OleMissGlitter is correct. AOII tied with AChiO for 2nd with a 3.46 GPA.

Congratulations! That's an amazing group average for both groups.

Do you all have the rest of the list?

I am sorry, I don't. I am sure everyone else did well. UGA Sororities always seem to do very well in my opinion with their grades.
