ACC Schools
How competitive is the recruitment process at an ACC school? Thanks!

You'd have to be more specific. |
It depends on which one you're talking about. The competitiveness varies between the different schools within the ACC. They aren't all the same. Some are more competitive than others. From what I know, FSU is competitive, but I can't speak on the others.
|
That will depend on which ACC school you're talking about.

I'd like to ask specifically about Clemson University in South Carolina. How important are recommendations? Do most girls receive a bid if they everything possible to maximize their chances (i.e., attend all parties)?
|
From what I have heard here on GC about Clemson, recs are very important to have.
|
And yes, it's suggested that you attend all parties to maximize your chances. No one can really say "yes, you'll get that bid" but your chances are greater if you give each house a shot.

clemson is very competitive, has wonderful sororities and a strong greek system. you should have recommendations for each chapter. good luck to you!
they usually have good information on the panhellenic website concerning recruitment. |
Clemson is competitive. It's a SOUTHERN school and Greek Life is HUGE in the south, so any school in the south is pretty much competitive.

Sororities are a big deal in the South, no doubt. However, just because a school's located in the South does not mean NPC rush is competitive. Your argument probably rings true at the bigger schools, but there are hundreds of smaller colleges in the South with only a few NPCs that would not have a competitive recruitment. |
In my opinion Clemson is one of the most competitive NPC rushes in the ACC.

Clemson, FSU, and UVa are pretty competitive.
