Michigan State recruitment

Does anyone know how competitive the sorority recruitment at MSU is? I'm going to rush this fall, and I'm wondering what my chances of getting a bid are. Any ideas?

It's nothing like the southern recruitment threads you read here! Of course you're never guaranteed a bid, but most women at MSU find a home.

Even if we knew you personally and were familiar with your grades and achievements, it's impossible to say for sure what your chances of getting a bid are.

What we can do is steer you in the right direction by suggesting that you read the stickied threads at the top of the Sorority Recruitment forum and the threads in the Recruitment Stories forum, if you haven't already done so. You might also want to visit the HQ websites of each of the sororities at MSU so you have some background info on them when you rush.

To ditto what AGDee said, keep in mind that rush experiences aren't the same, so don't freak out when you read about the competitiveness at some schools. Go into rush with an open mind and enjoy what the houses have to offer!

Good luck!

I didn't mean 'chances' like that. I meant more along the lines of how many PNMs usually receive bids, and how competitive the recruitment is at Michigan State.
