We need an Initiation Board!

I know it would be near impossible, but wouldn't it be nice to have some type of private, credential-based discussion board to discuss our ceremony? I've always thought about parts of it that I would like to discuss, but there is very little opportunity.

Someone would almost have to serve as a gatekeeper, confirming credentials of those brothers who ask to register.

So, pipe dream, or could it ever happen? It's a shame to let all of this technology go to waste, when, I'm sure, the discussions could be rather "robust".

Ah man,

I thought by "initiation board", we were going to get into a discussion about the latest and greatest techniques of construction for a paddle to initiate the new members.

You must have LXA confused with another fraternity.

We could move it to a farmlife chat room... cause of the goat sacrifice and all...

That sounds damn near impossible....

One of my active brothers in my chapter is on the initation council. They have discussed some good stuf and it seems to look promising.

As good as it sounds, it's not something I'd want to see online. Unless it was given the high security of a bank website I imagine it would be easy for some basement-living hacker to break into.

Heck, I'm sure those hacker types can also break into banks now that I think about it.

I just recently read an article comparing security measures of most online banks. It concluded that none of the banks researched had anywhere near sufficient security. However, this was from 2002 I believe and I have full faith in the measures my bank takes nowadays. Nevertheless, for every wall someone makes, there will always be a way over, around, or through it, and considering how anything posted on the internet tends to last forever I'd recommend keeping ritual discussions on the personal level.
