For those like me who want to support Black-owned nail shops and beauty supply stores and tire of being followed around or sitting in a shop full of people rudely speaking in another language, I have an idea. Just wanted to bring this back to the top in the interest of economic empowerment in our communities. Especially since so many of us spend tons of $$$ on hair, nails and beauty products.
Please list Black-owned companies in your area!! FYI, found a black-owned nail salon on the west side of town - 2 blocks from Greenbrier Mall in Atlanta. Poochiez Paws Nail Studio on Campbellton Road. 2 blocks past Greenbrier going east on Campbellton Road. On the left in the shopping mall. I visited and had a manicure, pedicure and a manicure for my niece. The service is good and they did a good job! Also, I visited A New Look on Bakers Ferry in the list below. Again, very professional and good service. Prices good as well. For those in the Cascade area, it's in the shopping mall near the McDonald's, Zaxby's and Jersey Mike's Subs (which, I have found out are also Black-owned) near the intersection of Camp Creek and Fulton Industrial. There was one place listed in my city - a salon that I've never heard of so I will have to check and see if they are still open. :)
