Laptop bags for lawschool?

I am searching for a good comfortable bag to lug my laptop books and papers around campus next year. Any reccomendations? I do not like the backpack style. I do have a pretty decent polo bag that I was thinking about just throwing my laptop with a sleeve into, but I dont know.

Thanks.

I know you don't want to hear this, but get a backpack, anyway. I killed myself this year with both tote bag and laptop bag. My back ached and I felt lopsided. I also managed to take a lot of people out going up and down stairs!

And as was impressed upon me by lawyers and other law students prior to starting 1L: DON'T BE THE 1L WITH THE WHEELY BAG!

I can't stress this enough. My foot was run over about a dozen times by people with wheely bags, and they always end up getting in the way, getting stuck in the door, etc.

I carry both a backpack and a laptop bag, and it's worked ok for me. I'm not sure of the brands, though; the laptop bag came with my laptop, and I've had the backpack since college.

I used an L.L. Bean backpack that I'd had since college that was huge. A lot of people had Targus or Swiss Army bags.

I heard everyone with rolly bags flunks the bar.

Everyone at my school has the Swiss Army bags.

I bought a Kensington saddle bag/backpack thing. The backpack straps broke off during 1L, but the bag is serviceable. It's one of the many thing which will be upgraded upon hearing the good news from the Board of Bar Examiners.

Emphasis added.

Seriously - someone bumped into my shin with one of those yesterday as I was leaving the library, and they didn't even apologize. It should be like a vehicle; if you can't control it, you shouldn't put it on the "road."

I bought a targus. thanks.
