Yeah, I like what my Soror NinjaPoodle said. I feel the same way.

Hi Pinkpearl.
I would tread lightly during this process. While there are lesbians in all NPHC sororities, all members do not ahare an attitude of tolerance. Carefully look and listen. Find out what the organization (and the chapter to which you aspire) are about. Completely. Good luck.

I don't have a problem with it... actually there are 3 lesbians out of 5 on my yard |
I'd have to be honest. I'm very against this type of lifestyle, however I wouldn't hold it against you for entrance. I think there is going to be friction though cause it still something that many people feel some type a way about.

Sorhors,
I just don't have any tolerance for certain threads or topics - Could one of the super moderators please close this thread? I hope you have my back on this one Sorhor Bluereign or Soror Ninjapoodle. Serioussigma22:rolleyes: Sorry but I'm really in a very sarcastic mood today. |

So far, this thread has not gotten out of hand, and I don't suspect that it will. My thoughts on the matter: As others have stated, as long as you don't make a big deal about it, I don't see where it would be a problem. I can tell you that for SGR, there is nothing in our protocols specifically prohibiting lesbians from joining. It would not be your sexual orientation that may be an issue, but the way you handle it. 'Cuz quite frankly, I wouldn't take a hoochie mama either. Oh, and just in case: IBTL!!:p |
Sorhor,
So true but I'm just very suspect why folks want to always bring certain threads to our board. We are not push overs and I get sick of guest trying it in here because you really don't see many of these threads in other nphc threads. I might not post in other boards but I do check them out. Serioussigma22:rolleyes: Like I said - I'm a true skeptic and in a very sarcastic mood! |

^^^ I like your theory. We are nice, aren't we? ;)
Sorors NinjaPoodle and TRSimon gave advice that I'd second. If you're already an out lesbian as you said, then at least the ladies in the chapter already know who you are. Just don't beat people over the head with, "I'm a lesbian! I'm a lesbian!" :( Can they get to know YOU, not your orientation? If you have a good character and reputation, then maybe the enlightened membership can see past your orientation and just see you as a quality prospect. Everyone isn't enlightened, and you know that based on everyday life. Just be careful, and be yourself. Remember, if it doesn't happen during college, you may continue to pursue membership on the alumnae level. Good luck. |
Yes Soror Jojapeach, we are too nice. I'm actually much nicer on the internet than in real-life.
I feel just like you do in that I don't like people who wear their sexual orientation on their head like a banner. I have never understood this. In respect for the wisdom of my senior soror, Serioussigma22, this thread is locked. :) |
