DG Loans?

I just found out today that DG offers stedent loans...I had no idea! I am an out of state student and I have to pay all but $15k of my tuiton/books/fees/etc and I was recently informed that my previous lender (bank of america) doesn't do loans for students anymore. So, I was forced into looking into other options. My dad wanted me to try to look into lines of credit, but you have to have a home-equity for that and I obviously don't have that.

Anyways, can anyone tell me if they've had expirience with it?

Do I really have to get a faculty recomendation? I go to a HUGE school where i've only been for a semester and its virtually impossible to do that right now.

Also..is $2,000 the MAX you can get from them? or is per year/semester? I'm assuming thats the max..

LITB :)

That's the link on the DG website for the loan application and rules. You'll need to register in myDG to access this. If the link doesn't work, it's under collegiate member resources and then educational loans.
