I see crap like this, and I'm terrified that I'll raise my kids to be like that
I don't want to be the woman in that video

ASUADPi 06-22-2008 10:09 AM

The kid was a frickin brat. If my kid was as horrible as that boy was, I'd be sending him to the best "boot camp" I could find. That kid needs a reality check!

What a horrible child! No wonder mom called Dr. Phil. Wish I could see the whole episode now and watch Dr. Phil put that kid in his place!

Here is a link to some of what transpired in the house.

Damn this joker is crazy. When he said shut up, she obeyed. LMAO. Basically, she was haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazed by her own son.http://l.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/mesg/emoticons7/24.gif

ETA: I had to watch that again. Hilarious! He was pointin' his finger all up in her face and stuff. That little joker slapped the dog stew out of his own mamma. http://l.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/mesg/emoticons7/24.gif

Did y'all see that joker jump back after the slap?! He thought she was going to slap him back. ROTFLMAO!!!!

knight_shadow 06-23-2008 02:21 AM

That.was.too.much.

"Shut up! That's the only thing that seems to get your attention!" ...Please. That little bastard needs his ass beat.

Seriously, I reserve judgement on the vid without knowing if she was really as horrible as he said she was (I doubt she was, but the diplomat in me says "if"). The way some parents treat their kids nowadays...I know a couple parents who deserve it. I wanna just be like "Can I borrow him? I know someone who could use him as son for a day." :snicker:

Again, I know she probably wasn't abusing her kid, he was just being a brat...but I like to play devil's advocate every now and again.

Wow, just wow! Where is the dad in this equation? And, what would his reaction be?

One morning, when my oldest was about 13 (many moons ago;)), he was sassing me, following me down the hall, just yak, yak, yak. Well, my husband came barrelling out of our bedroom, grabbed "said offender" and very menacingly said, "You may think your talking to your mother like that, but your not. You're talking to my wife, and nobody talks to my wife like that."

That made quite an impression on him and I very rarely had any sass issues again. It also worked on the younger brothers because they watched the whole episode with saucer eyes, thinking, "I don't want that to happen to me!"

That kid needs a swift kick in the rear (metaphorically) from his DAD! His mom has obviously lost all control and credibility - a united front is needed!

That's a very good question!

WOW. I'm going to put that on my to-do list, in case one of my future children decides to act up :D

Yeah, it is a great thing for mom to have back up when the kiddies start thinking they are smarter than her. It usually starts around 12-13. I call it the Mean Tunnel - they enter around that age, and emerge back into the light around 17-18, right around the time that they realize the "golden age" of having most things done for them is ending!

Lol, I woman from my church told us that her husband did this to their son. Problem solved, effective immediately.
