Design Star

OK, I couldn't find a thread for this after doing Google Advanced Search so hopefully I'm correct that there isn't one. Is anyone watching this season?

I have liked it so far, although I would have REALLY liked it if they actually had to build their house.

I was sad Scottie was cut. I was going to root for him because I grew up near Winston-Salem and he seemed like a genuine guy. Although admittedly, his room did not turn out that well. The other bedroom was AMAZING though. I thought the sunroom was piece of crap, and I thought the dining room had major issues - even more than the judges called them out for. Not only was painting that table a travesty (the judges couldn't even tell what it was), that poor mantlepiece was hideous once they got through with it! It was just too busy - too much going on. Sad because I think both of those women are really cute and I thought I would really like their work based on their personal style, etc.

Can't wait for tomorrow's ep!

Yes, I'm watching it too. I love home decoration shows!!

I really didn't think any of the rooms last night were fabulous. The best was the all men team with the black walls and Hollywood Glamour;) They seem to be really consistant. I also liked the room that was done with the molding on the walls - the colors were great and the idea was good, but I agree that they were kind of all over the place with accessories.

The one woman that was such a problem last week looks as if she is still a problem to work with, not taking criticism well, and over reacting. But, it may just be the edit. I think she has bad ideas though - last week, she was the one who wanted to paint the sun room brown, and this week, she was the one who was all into the traditional accessories/chairs that the judges didn't like.

I think they are keeping her on because she is being cast as the "villain" and it makes for interesting TV. Poor thing if she really is a nice woman who is getting the shaft!

I also could NOT believe that they painted that table last week! The grain was beautiful and they RUINED it with that paint!!! Seems those women want to paint everything;)

totally agreed! What's up with painting everything?

I felt bad for D. Paul getting cut, but I guess Tracee makes for interesting TV.

Agreed that none of the rooms was that great this time around...
