Did anyone else watch the Tony's last night? I DVR'd it and finished it this morning (mainly so I could fast foward through the commercials and the speeches).

Whoopi Goldberg, I thought, was hysterical as host.

My favorite parts were...

1. When she came out in the crab suit after the Lion King performance
2. The spoof of Phantom (I was laughing so hard I was crying)
3. The original cast of Rent ('nough said)

i watched off and on.can i just say that anthony rapp and adam pascal both looked really good!

I agree with you 100% -- plus, I LOVE Patti Lupone!

I really enjoyed the show, but the overnight ratings were the lowest in a long time.

I thought they used Whoppi very well.

Most of the musical segments (not only the ones from the nominated shows) were well done.

And, it got off nearly on time.
