The University has flood-related blog to keep everyone updated.

The Iowa River has crested/will crest soon at a level slightly lower than anticipated, which is good. It will still take a looooong time for the water to recede, though. During the floods of '93, it took a month for the river to go back down to just flood stage and this flood's crest is 2.5' higher than that. Some parts of campus are completely flooded while others only had minor flooding.

It's unreal. It will take years to recover from this flood.

I was amazed by the number of buildings currently closed and the others which they expect to close. Does anyone know if any of the Greeks were affected?

One of my good friends goes to University of Iowa and showed me pictures of the flood. It's crazy how high the water is from the river. Parking lots under a couple feet and bridges almost under water.

Chapter houses at Iowa are very spread out WRT campus, so I'm sure some are fine. There are a number that are on the river or near the flooded areas of campus, so I'm sure those will have sustained some sort of damage. I couldn't tell you exactly who or how much, though.
