Where do you get large wooden letters made, or how do you make them?

You might find some strapping young fraternity men to make them for you. Then you ladies can have the fun of decorating them!

I was going say basically the same thing. Just find a fraternity guy to agree to cut them out ofr you and you can take care of the rest. I know one of my brother always ends up cutting out paddles for a sorority we are close with.

What thickness of wood do you use?

I was wanting to make some this summer for my chapter while school's out.

but that would cost about $200

The men or the letters?

Well now, the letters, of course.

I want them to look like the Phi Mu letters in the Bid Day thread, but with these colored stripes:

And I want them to be in a fun font, but not bubble letters like this: http://www.lifeatcollege.com/Cart/im...ters_1_1-2.gif Since I want to paint stripes, and I don't think that would look right.

I don't know, I want them to be easy to carry around, but still sturdy enough to last
