The former first lady will stop short of formally suspending or ending her race in her speech in New York City. She will pledge to continue to speak out on issues like health care. But for all intents and purposes, the two senior officials said, the campaign is over.".........................

This is not too much of a surprise since late last week.;)
Now, all one can hope for is:
Both parties, and their followers/supporters, to unify.
Both parities, and their followers/supporters, to attempt a relatively proper campaign on issues and policies rather than on personal and character issues and matters.
And that the People come out and vote.

That's what we all can hope for...if it happens may be another story. I have yet to decide on which on the soon to be two candidates I like more, in regards to their political beliefs, but regardless of whomever becomes our next president, we must wish for a better tomorrow....

That's something we may never know lol...But seriously, I do question if this prolonged battle for the Democratic Nomination will in turn hurt the eventual candidate

And from what I have read, both are correct.
While Sen. Clinton may not be conceding, she just may be stopping active campaigning. Which several others did
a few months ago as well.
We will find out tonight on some of this.
This may just be, for lack of any better term, some sort of spin and/or damage control effort.
As for the Super Delegates, look forward to next few days.

I think a great deal of people have that same thought/question in mind.
While it is part of human nature to vent and protest when something you like or endorse fails, in this case the fight may have gone too deep and long for some people. Or not deep and long enough for some.

Pardon my ignorance ( I have unfortunately been unable to keep up with all of the primary news), what were the outcomes of the contested FL and Michigan delegates?

Their delegates will be seated in full, but each gets half a vote.

No, not really at all. With so much going on in this matter, let alone the World and personal life, it is rather easy to miss a news cycle or two.

Very true. My wedding planning, along with school and work, has kept me a bit preoccupied in regards to staying up-to-date with current events.
