Wizard of Oz recruitment ski
 

Hi!

I'm working on a possible recruitment skit for my chapter to use (not for this year but perhaps for the future).

I've heard alot of cute ideas regarding a wizard of oz skit, but how do you handle the witch?

If anyone has performed or seen a wizard of oz themed recruitment skit, please shed some light.

Please don't post links to other threads about recruitment skits, I was careful to read them all first. Thanks yall!

You don't necessarily have to have a witch. You could have Dorothy discussing what "home" is to her as she follows the yellow brick road with the Scarecrow, Lion and Tinman. Or, you could make the Witch someone who is disdainful of Greek life. Kappa Delta at ULM always did a Wizard of Oz themed rush party when I was in school...it was a little elaborate if I remember correctly.

Jess, I'm pretty sure she's an ASA. Perhaps you or another ASA can point her to that darn Wizard of Oz skit?

Although, as has been said, Wizard of Oz is somewhat outdated.

ASA at my school is doing the Wizard theme this fall too...

I take it ASA loves Wizard of Oz?

If AlphaFrog's response is any indication, I'd say that's not necessarily true!

That skit is 45 years old and I'm not kidding. It has been around far too long. I just had to say something!! Sorry

ASA or not, I stand by my statement. It's silly to ask the same question over and over like that.

I've actually never seen the ASA Wiz of Oz skit. I've heard that it works well for ASA because of there being 4 main characters and ASA's affinty for things that come in 4s.

And AlphaFrog loves Wicked more than the orginal Wiz of Oz, but if it weren't for the original, there would be no Wicked.;)
