OXFORD

On May 3, 2008, Zeta Psi became the first Intercontinental Fraternity with the Chartering of the Iota Omicron Chapter at Oxford University!

We also have a 10-man Interest Group at the Univ. of Monash in Melbourne, Australia.

APO isn't on the same bar as IFC/NPC/NPHC/other GLOs. They're just like a professional GLO.

Congrats on the new chapter!

Although we don't have any "chapters" outside of N.America, TKE is affiliated with a German "corp"- their version of a fraternity.

PANTHERTEKE 05-18-2008 10:46 PM

Nevermind

Tippiechick 05-18-2008 10:50 PM

Oh hell...

I thought this was about the only Oxford that really matters IMHO -- Oxford,Mississippi! Hotty Toddy!

Who cares? It's Zeta Psi...

The point is that Zeta Psi was the first fraternity to stretch from coast-to-coast (1870 Berkeley), the first international fraternity (1879 Toronto), and now the first bi-continental (Oxford 2008). We were also the only Fraternity to have chapters simultaneously at all eight Ivy League schools with the chartering of Eta at Yale University in 1889.

The point is Zeta Psi may be small but we know what we are doing.

some evidence to back up my claim

Chi Phi in Scotland
A unique result of the destruction of these times was the establishment of the Theta Chapter of Chi Phi at Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Scotland, in 1867. After the war, Southern colleges and universities being largely destroyed, many prominent students went abroad to complete their studies. A group of men, two of which were already Chi Phis, were granted a charter by the Chi Phi Fraternity in 1867. The chapter was active for a few years, but addded no new members. Reopening of Southern colleges resulted in the withdrawal of the charter in 1870. This is thought to be the only chapter of an American college fraternity ever to have been established in Europe.
