lavalier question

We've just initiated a guy who's married. He wants to give a lavalier to his wife. I can't think of a reason why not. Thoughts?

It seems even more appropriate to give a lavalier to a wife than to a girlfriend.

I agree. Lavaliering is normally considered a pre-engagement in most Greek circles, so if they're already married I see no reason why the wife can't represent your fraternity.

I say expel the s.o.b., throw him in jail, then off with his head. The nerve! :)

^^^ Ditto!

As a wife, I think that it can only make her feel as though she is welcomed into this new part of her husband's life. I would consider it to be my husband involving me in as many aspects of his life as he could.

Phi Sigma Sigma is an NPC sorority.

Makes more sense, I've always heard "Phi Sig" used to refer to Phi Sigma Kappa.

Yes, I think there are discussions on GC somewhere about what they call Phi Sigma Sigma and Phi Sigma Kappa when they are on the same campus.

I'm a Phi Sigma Sigma (which is officially classified a women's fraternity), wife and mother... def a girl! Just goes to show how you have to justify EVERYTHING on the boards.

My apologies, I had never heard Phi Sig used to refer to anything other than Phi Sigma Kappa. Didn't mean to insult your organization or you, just hadn't heard of it.

No worries! I understand. Although I had a good chuckle over a guy with the nickname Coco. ;)

As long as his fraternity brothers haze the hell out of him when it happens, it has my approval. I guess its not hazing if theyre a brother... but whatever.

It's never hazing.. it's "building brotherhood." :)
