Starting a Greek Embroidery business...

Hey guys, I always wonder if anyone else think buying greek apparel can be costly (especially with the number of little bros/sis one can have) therefore, I always wonder what it's like to start an embroidery business. Is it costly? what is necessary.. where can I look this up.. etc.

From what I believe I "need" would be, an embroidery machine (duh), and material, but when it comes to the material part, I don't know exactly what I am searching for... a laser cutting machine that cuts letters? I am lost for words, all in all, if there's someone out there that can explain many of these concerns and questions, it would be great. (with resources provided preferably.)

thanks!

Aside from the usual hit and run posters who actually run an embroidery business, I'm not sure if there are any active GCers who own an embroidery business.

Are there local embroidery businessmen you could possibly consult and get advice from in person? I don't know, I just get the feeling you might be wasting your time on GC. JMHO.

I'd agree with OTW about asking someone who already has an embroidery business. You can probably find someone who does it on the side, and just advertise that Greek stuff is your specialty.

You'll also need to go through the licensing process (and cost) if you want to legitimately create and sell greek para since I believe pretty much every org owns trademarks on their names, symbols, etc.

Right. Just for the OP, just in case s/he doesn't already know: http://greeklicensing.com/
