Every once in a while I will try to view a thread typically one that has been moved and i get this message

"you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation."

Why do i get that and what is it all about????

You are probably clicking on a thread that is in the process of being moderated in some way.

The fools were out of hand... Here is what I think about them...

No they havent been locked a good example was a thread a few days about rush dress requirements and today there was one about sorority dues that disappeared.

Being moderated means it could be in the process of being closed or deleted, because of TOS violation. It happened to me tonight with three of the troll's threads.

When mods move threads, they have the option of leaving a designation saying that the thread was moved. If you click on the link and get that 'you do not have permission' message, it's very likely that it was moved to the holy Moderators' Corner. At times they leave no trail.

Sometimes threads need cleaning up and sometimes they just aren't appropriate to leave on the public forums. The thread still exists, you just can't access it anymore.

If the thread got deleted you'll just get a message that says the thread no longer exists.

That happened so fast, its doubtful many people here caught it.

Except if you try to reply just as the deletion is happening. Then you get the message the OP stated. This happened to me twice yesterday. I went into the post, replied, and got the message. I went back to the list and both times the threads were gone. The moderator and I were on at the same time.

Yes, the mods must have been in overdrive cleaning up after last night! :)

I was watching the drama unfold at around 10 pm Hawaii time till about midnight. It sucked not having any around, especially when those sick and nasty photos were posted in the Up&Coming GLOs forum. I seriously doubt any of the mods were on at that time, but I'm glad a super mod (or John) was able to use the ban stick a few hours later.

Still, I wouldn't put it past the idiots over there to come back and try it again. They left the gate open before, and I'm sure they'll try and do it again. :rolleyes:

It was crazy. A lot of deleting and banning.

It was amazing how long it was actually able to go on. I'm guessing the supermods will be on high alert for a little while in case the little boys get restless again.

Dang! I (kind of) hate it when I miss drama like that! I was telling some guy that chapter dues really vary and that not everyone has a house, chef, and huge parties. Then this morning, POOF! No more thread!

The threads the OP referred to and the recent drama we're talking about are two totally different things.

Be glad you missed the recent drama. Unless racist and hateful remarks and sick and disgusting photos are your cup of tea, consider yourself lucky.
