Star Jones vs. Barbara Walters

I've always liked Walters but her book selling fiascos are lame. I agree with Star Jones on this.

Ignore the source? Hehe.

“Oh, hell no!” said Star said to herself when she saw the show (as I imagine it). She then pushed her toy poodle off her lap and ordered her publicist to prepare a statement. Here it is:
“It is a sad day when an icon like Barbara Walters in the sunset of her life is reduced to publicly branding herself as an adulterer, humiliating an innocent family with accounts of her illicit affair and speaking negatively against me all for the sake of selling a book. It speaks to her true character.”

I'm with Star....Barbara has taken it too far all in the name of selling a few books.

Ditto for me. I'm really disappointed in Barbara:(

Walters knew exactly what she was doing. If she kept her mouth shut this long about it and the public never found out about it, why try to ruin him now.

I remember reading somewhere that she said the whole race issue was one of the main reasons she did not make the relationship public sooner...so apparently she knows the ramifications for the former senator.

Team Star

When that whole fiasco started Barbara was saying it was because viewers turned against Star. I'm calling BS on that one. I remember reading that when Star was doing the wedding segments that was some of the higher rated shows.

Barbara is "with tha mess!"

I have seen these interviews and what not....and as it has already been stated, she is just trying to promote herself. I think she is trying to save face; I really have this strong feeling that she is not being totally honest about some of the things that has happened (in reference to Star, Rosie, and Donald Trump), and watching her interview on Oprah just bothered me...something wasn't right.

She is indeed lame as hayle!!!

Maybe he shouldn't have been cheating on his wife?

I don't care much about Star Jones' opinion on it.

DSTCHAOS 05-08-2008 12:03 PM

He shouldn't have been cheating on his wife. That much is obvious.

But for all these decades later to tell the story just to sell some books is LAME.

However, Star Jones commented because Barbara Walters used her name to sell books, too. Jones just added that Walters is using a number of tactics to sell the books.

Yeah we knew she had gastric bypass but didn't want to admit it at first.

But for Oprah and Walters to discuss it is purely for controversy and book selling.
