Brods
I feel a strong connection to my Filipino brothers and sisters. A few days ago, in fact, a Filipino brother saw me wearing my letters and gave me the handclasp. He also did a weird pinky swear type thing that I had no clue about as well though.
Still, it was great! I love when I randomly meet brothers! |
At the World Scout Jamboree last summer, we had a gathering of APO-US and APO-PH Brothers. Because most of the Philipines contingent on staff were APO Brothers, it was organized at the Philipines booth in the World Scout Center. Great fun. I wore APO buttons on my knapsack and clothes so I would be able to met APO Brothers there. At the end of the gathering we sang the toast song like they do it in the Philipines. A little different.
I wrote an article about the WSJ and this gathering for the T&T and sent it in, along with some group shots. Sadly, they never ran it. You can see this on Facebook, tho. |
