And we already know that casting is an issue (Halle as Storm? WTF?...Affleck as Daredevil?)
I mena with a CGI Movie done properly (think about Beowulf too)...I think the kids are going to be more concerned the gee whiz affects of the movie than the actor...we as adults would be more concerned about the acting...just because we are...
it can be done

it can be done but i oppose it because it will mean less work for actors, with even the minor supporting roles in something like that going to a big name, because the big name wants to be involved with said project but has schedulling issues (you can "film" the entire thing without ever having the actors meet each other) and then up and comers would have one less movie to be.
Not to mention the fact that Hollywood makes less than Bali, in terms of both money and in number of movies being made. Hong Kong is catching up and will pass soon, as well.
Movies, music, etc, Entertainment in general really, is one of the U.S. biggest exports. We need to be cognisent of that, and not just crank out half-assed quasi 3D version of old comic books. Even the "classic style" animation of the 80's cartoons would be better, and cheaper if they made it on computer.
