Getting Involved

Hi,
I have a question. I am wondering if there is any appropriate way to get involved with a Fraternity as a freshman. I know you can not enter as a member until you are a sophmore but is there anything I can do to show my interest in joining a specific fraternity as a freshman?
thanks

Do you have any Greek family members or close friends you could talk to about pursuing the organization of choice? They might be able to offer you some advice about approaching members appropriately.

Good luck!

Try to get to know members by attending their events and programs. If you become a regular at their events, they'll notice you.

I actually went on facebook and contacted a few brothers, one being the rush chairmen, of one of the fraternities im planning on rushing next semester. I pretty much just introduced myself and said i would be rushing next semester. They were really kind and offered to give me a tour of the house when i said i was going up to campus for a campus preview. I did and they told me they would call me during the summer. So what im saying is don't hesitate to make some contacts, and message people now, because they are more then happy to help you out from my experience.
