An AGD Wins a Fulbright
Excuse me -- just crashing to share this -- congratulations to the member of WV Wesleyan's AGD chapter on the honor!
A West Virginia Wesleyan Alpha Gam has been awarded a Fulbright scholarship, as reported recently: http://www.therecorddelta.com/V2_new...&story_id=1440 Bethanie Breann Thompson of Ripley, W.Va. is a biology major and English literature minor and will graduate with a 3.9 cumulative grade point average. She will be journeying to Indonesia at the beginning of August. “I’m going to try to work with a component of the 4-H program, the young farmer’s groups,” Thompson said. “I’ve been in 4-H since fourth grade, so this is my 12th year of involvement.” Thompson is the president of Evens Eagles 4-H Club and coordinates two Jackson County 4-H camps. She is Alpha Gamma Delta sorority’s vice president for scholarship and vice president for recruitment, is a member of Beta Beta Beta biology honorary, Omicron Delta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi. Thompson has been accepted to New York University for graduate school. |

There were actually two Alpha Gams at West Virginia Wesleyan to win Fullbright Scholarships this year. The other woman was Michelle Mayhew and she will be going to Malaysia in December. :)
