Hello All, I am a new member of GreekChat, hope you guys welcome me with open arms :D

I am an Alumni of a fraternity called Lambda Phi Epsilon. I just graduated last december of 2008. As a greek member society, when I came back to the city I have not seen a person wearing there letters in public. I'm not sad, mad, confused or whatever because I know eventually everyone will grow out of wearing their letters or just plain old greek life.

But to be honest, I do miss being an active and participating in an events, parties, and just hanging out with my brothers. So I was wondering how you do Alumni feel? Do you guys/girls feel the same way? or you just dont miss it at all?

it takes some time to adjust from undergrad to grad life as a greek member. what about your frat brothers who also graduated? do you still keep in touch? youre not gonna be able to party like you did on campus, but its all fair game Friday 5pm on!

i think even as an alum, its still cool to go back and visit your old chapter, but dont make it a habit. once, twice a year max. you dont wanna be desperate or anything lol.

as far as wearing letters, i wear them just as often as i wouldve when i was in school. of course i work at a bank, so a lettered hoodie isnt really appropriate. but otherwise, i throw on a t-shirt and go about mine!

If you are active in an alumni chapter perhaps you can visit your undergrad chapter by supporting them as an alumni member. Speaking as an NPHC alumnae member who was an undergrad member years ago, I still visit my undergrad chapter often since my alumnae chapter advises my undergrad chapter (and always has) and since we try to support all of the undergrad chapters that we advise. But when I talk about supporting them, I'm not talking about partying with them. I'm talking about attending their events and programs to show our support. I think it's okay to party with your undergrad chapter sometimes if you recently graduated a year or two ago maybe.

It does feel weird to be away from the organization you've been with for awhile. I know it took me to adjust to being an alumna (Im still adjusting.. haha). But I really like the feeling of being able to come back and have everyone be excited to see me =]

Lucky for me though, I pledge early on in my college "career" s0o after I graduated, I got to hangout with the alumnas too.

It's just weird being on the other side though and seeing the active house from a different perspective..

Ok, Im rambling on.. must stop. haha
