Delteens/ GEMS
 

I just want to say first and foremost I love Delta Sigma Theta as an organization. I am a former GEM and before I became a GEM I was on the path of being kicked out of school and my house. My advisor's and mentors helped me become the confident, classy, and goal oriented person that I am and if it had not been for the program I would not have made it to college.:)

In my chapter we had line numbers, names and a sign we would throw up for pictures with the omega prep boys. Do undergrad chapters frown upon that?:mad:

I just finished my first year of college and I was scared to even speak to the DELTAS on my campus through fear of seeming like a Delta groupie. Do you think it is a good idea for them to know you were a delta gem or are you better off keeping it to yourself?:confused:

Don't know about the collegiates, but I frown upon it.

GEMS is a national initiative. While it would not be wise to throw it around as if it was sure step to Delta, there are appropriate times to mention it, e.g., when asked why are you interested in our sorority.
