Thanks again for all the birthday wishes! Actually it was rather uneventful and I torn between being peeved at J for not doing anything or letting it go since he is deployed (even though he's already ordered stuff off Amazon for himself since he's been there). Do I have the right to wonder what gives or should I let it go since at least he called today...?

And as for your question, try to let it go. Sometimes things get caught up in the mail. Maybe he got you something and it's on the way. I know my husband when he was deployed tried to do something for me for Valentine's Day, but when he was trying to send flowers, the computer wouldn't work, then when it did, it wouldn't accept my address for delivery... stuff like that happens. J called, so his mind is on you. That's really what's important, right?

when my husband(at the time my serious boyfriend) was on his last tour of duty, i wrote faithfully-this was before pc's. he , on the other had, would phone, when he was in the azores or on sicily-he was a navy pilot and his last tour mostly flew vip's to and from the carrier. he just didn't get it that a few lines jotted down and mailed on a weekly basis would have been heaven to me. it bothered me terribly then, but it seems silly now.

please cut your honey some slack. something might be winging its way to you right now. at least he was able to phone and you know that he was alright. that's a great birthday gift in my book.

i know-treat yourself to something you really want. go have a facial, a massage, mani/pedi. you deserve it!
