How does your Rush work?
 

Hey,
I know that since we're not in a national council or whatever, we don't have a rush/intake process that is similar to everybody else. So what's your process? Like do you do a rush week? Or do you do it for a few weeks? Do you just have an informational and then another meeting where interested peeps come if they are seriously interested?
How does your org handle rush/intake? It would be interesting to hear various methods of intaking new members.

Our rush last between one and two weeks with "formal" rush in between. We let the girls know that we are there before they start formal rush and then after so that if they didn't quite fit in with any of the social sororities, they can look at us some more.

Our Rush consists of several nights and starts with a Information session and ends with a Preferance Party. Our events are not 'parties' and we don't have elaborate themes. We do focus on issues/events that are important to our sisterhood.

We rush WITH the NPC sororities on my campus.

Rush usually lasts three weeks. During the first week tables are set up and information about Greek Life is distributed.

During the second week there is usually Information Night, 1st Round, and 2nd Round.

The third week consists of 3rd Round, Preference Night, and Bid Day.
