Hi ladies,

The Greater Philadelphia Ivy Connection is having its first Foundation fundraiser tomorrow called "Strike Out Heart Disease" - it's a bowling tournament. It's the first time we've really spent time planning, budgeting, and making a big effort to make this work, and so far we've got a good turnout and hopefully we will make a sizeable donation to the Foundation. Anyway, the philanthropy chair and I are very nervous about this going well, so please send us some good thoughts and vibes for tomorrow!!

Well, we ended the event at 3 today, and I'm still on cloud nine!! It was an absolute and total success!!!! :):):):):) The chapter raised $300 for the Alpha Phi Foundation, and $65 for our own funds in a separate 50/50 Challenge - fortunately the winner of the challenge donated his half of the funds back to the chapter! People really had a great time, we got lots of wonderful compliments, and it was fantastic community exposure for not only our chapter but the Foundation and its works as well!!!

That is great...while I am an alum on the west coast, I am proud to call you sisters...That is wonderful news...I am 'bowled' over...LMAO!
