LSU student trying to "overthrow" Greeks
Hey y'all,
I have been very involved with the LSU student government elections this spring and have kept up with information on the LSU student newspaper site. There is one person who keeps posting on the site, calling himself Josh, claiming that Greeks are horrible people and they are running the university to the ground by holding student government positions. Plenty of people have been trying to prove him wrong, but he won't give up his fight. If you would like to read these misinformed accusations by "Josh" and feel like you should add your two cents, please do! I am going to post links to some of the various articles that Josh has commented on. Reading his comments have made me extremely mad, and I would just like to get some fellow, level-headed Greeks' opinions... http://media.www.lsureveille.com/med...-3331333.shtml http://www.lsureveille.com/home/inde...6-dbcd495d249d http://media.www.lsureveille.com/med...ntedstoriestab |
The day he does that is the day the Pirates win the world series.

Seriously, every college has someone who opposes the Greek system. At Arkansas State, there was a member of the newspaper staff who constantly wrote articles putting down Greek system. Every so often, someone in a GLO would write a letter to refute him, but mostly he was ignored and treated like a joke.

I know I'm not supposed to let it get to me, but the ridiculousness of it just makes my blood boil!
I just had to vent to my fellow Greeks! |
I agree with the guy that said Josh has a bad case of paranoia.
People like this are funny because all they want to do is complain and not actually do anything. If the Greeks all vanished tomorrow, he'd find some other "elitist" group to bitch about. Ignore him. There's always going to be people like this at big schools. On the other hand, leaving a bag of dog poop on his steps would be funny. :) |
I laughed out loud reading those sad posts. Why are greeks in SG? Because the greek system tends to attract natural leaders and people who like to get involved. "Josh" didn't make a ticket and takes the cop-out he wouldn't win because he wouldn't get the greek support, which is all of 12% of the campus. He isn't a leader. And his constantly referring to their "Greek masters" was so hilarious I'm almost embarrassed for him. LSUTriDelt, ignore this fool and recognize him for the nonjoiner, nonleader, bitter complainer that he is.

I've liked the LSU newspaper ever since this piece...
http://media.www.lsureveille.com/med...-2050457.shtml also the one they did comparing GreekChat and Fratty.net(RIP) |

I love Fratty "conotations" from this person who had a dressing problem like a homeless person.:)
I guess you dress like a slob, well, if the shoe fits?:D So, I just wonder why he is so special when LSU has a great Greek Community and he decides who wears what? It must have been a slow news day at LSU for this kind of tripe to be even printed.:D |

just an aside - Bermuda bags are apparently back!

Speaking as someone who both was in SG for a long time, and a proud Greek, there are always fools like this running around. They just complain about every little thing.
If he doesn't like the decisions the people in office are making (regardless of their Greek status) he should run for SG himself and make his point of opinion heard, and stop complaining! You can't change any system from the outside! |

If this was an asside, then why even post it when it means NADA!? |

You have been there and have seen it! Now, maybe a question you can answer, if it were not for GLOs, where would the SAG be?;) Who does the most work?:) |
