Happy Earth Day!

I just want to wish you lot a Happy Earth Day! Throw away something that is recycable in the recycling bin if you haven't done it regularly.:)

Yes, happy Earth Day! It's great that the idea of being 'green' has become such a mainstream concept. But the more common an idea is, sometimes we tend to become complacent about it. This is such a gorgeous time of year to embrace conservation of our planet's resources. :)

Heads up for the future, May is Bike Month, Bike-to-Work Week is from May 12-16 and Bike-to-Work Day is on Friday, May 16.

Happy Earth Day! We went to our grocery store and traded in a big bunch plastic grocery bags for some reusable green bags :)

For several years I had a campaign going in our neighborhood to encourage children to walk to school. I am really trying to be more thoughtful about the little things that can make a big difference. My new personal pet peeve is finding anything that should go in the household (or office) recycle bin in the garbage can! (I make the offender fish it out and put it where it belongs!) I am now using green shopping bags, and I even stopped myself from tossing a ziploc bag the other day....rinsed it out, set it to dry and I'll reuse it for storing pet food or something.

Now if I could get Mr Bejazd to bike to the office...that would be something!!! Maybe I'll get him a new bicycle for Father's Day!

I am all for recycling, but if I put something in a waste can, I dont know how someone else is going to make me take it out...espically at work. Either they chalk thatone up as a loss or get it out themselves.
