Betas & Greek Week

This board has been quite slow lately... how about some updates from Actives or Advisors on your Chapter's Greek Week Progress? Perhaps some good stories from Alums about their Greek Week Competitions of years past?

I'm proud to announce that the Beta Brothers of the newest Colony in Beta's Broad Domain (John Carroll University) are currently in first place, leading by over 170 points. This is after only the second day- Beta took first place in all but two events, in which we took second.

We're keeping busy prepping for our Talent Show Performance tonight, Greek Olympics, and the Lip Sync performance on Thursday. I'll update this post as the week continues!

Go Beta!

Update 4/18
Beta was unfortunately disqualified from our Talent Show Performance and given Last Place... because we threw a hat into the audience. (Terrible of us, right?) We were still in first place by 35 points afterwards.
The Greek Olympics netted us 1st place in Dodgeball, 2nd in Tug of War, 3rd in Baseball and 3rd in Basketball.

But the real satisfaction came just tonight, when the Founding Fathers and Alpha Pledge Class took First Place in the Lip Sync giving us the Greek Week 2nd Place Title during our First Semester on Campus.

I look forward to hearing good news from the other chapters!

Happily Yours in ____kai___,

ECU did not have a Greek Week this year, for reasons unknown to me. I assume they will try to bring it back next year.

How odd... past events cast a bad image perhaps?

Beta Psi (WVU) is doing pretty well.

Took 2nd in Greek Week.

Won five sorority philanthropies and are holding the 3rd annual Golf Tournament shortly.

I'm not sure that it was a bad image. I think it had more to do with a lack of participation. The events weren't very competitive and they seemed to just take up time instead of offering something fun to do.
