Another CSI cast member leaving

Bummer. I always wished they'd focus more on him and his tv marriage b/f I found out it was short lived on the show. I liked his character. I am freaked out however, by Marg Helgenberger's Botox/collagin lips though. She was so pretty back in China Beach and had normal lips.

I only watch CSI: Miami. :)

Gary Dourdan stopped being hot years ago.

I always thought they didn't really know what to do with his character - I'm sorry he's going.

They didn't drag out the short-lived marriage and Mafia storylines like they dragged the one in when he was dealing with the crooked judge (way in Season 1). I think I'll miss him more than I miss Sara.

As much as I like the character, and seeing Dourdan all the time....its pretty good he leaves.

He's an ass, so I wouldn't be surprised if that was the main reason that it was a "mutual" decision.

Should we start taking wagers on 1) who leaves next or 2) how long the show will remain on the air (considering it has been bumped from it's long standing number 1 spot in the nielson's)

my guesses:

1) next one to leave will be George Eads (because it's not like they give Nick a storyline, other than having him buried alive or a gun to his head)

2) I'm guessing 1 at most 2 seasons left before the show is canned.

When I read this, I was thinking "when it is going to jump the shark".

Or it could go on with an (almost) new cast, like ER has. But then ER's going off next year, when it should have been off years ago.

I was also thinking how CSI has gone on without a major cast change, considering that Miami had one almost from the time it went on and NY after about a season or so.

Ditto that! I love CSI: Miami, yet hate the regular CSI! They are just not the same!

Wow...Gary Dourdan is a nice piece of eye candy, and I will definitely miss him on the show! I hope he gets more work after this, so I won't have to resort to watching him on old A Different World reruns.

I almost forgot about that. Didn't he have dreadlocks back then? And I agree, he is FINE looking! :D
