Virginia realigned into three sections

This weekend at the Section 83 Conference, another history-making event occurred. The final pieces were passed, and now Virginia has been realigned into three sections.

The new Sections and the chapters involved are as follows:

Section 81
Virginia Intermont College/AZA
Emory & Henry College/Pi Omicron
Ferrum College/Phi Omicron
Virginia Tech/Zeta Beta
Radford University/Alpha Beta Zeta
Roanoke College/Alpha Beta Psi

Section 82
Washington & Lee University/Alpha Beta Tau
Bridgewater College/Alpha Epsilon Psi
James Madison University/Chi Gamma
George Mason University/Alpha Delta Delta
Randolph-Macon College/Theta Omega
Longwood University/Alpha Alpha Omicron
University of Virginia/Theta

Section 83
Virginia Commonwealth University/Alpha Delta Iota
University of Richmond/Omicron Phi
College of William & Mary/Nu Rho
Christopher Newport University/Alpha Delta Xi
Old Dominion University/Alpha Beta Omega
Norfolk State University/Phi Mu
Regent University/Petitioning Group

There will be a joint 82/83 Conference, with the even years being hosted in Section 82, and the odd years being hosted in Section 83. Next year's conference will be hosted by Omicron Phi.

The new Section 82 Chair is Lois Feagan (formerly the Section 86 Chair), and the Section 83 Chair is Gina Kelly (reelected).

Hmm. It looks like 82 was *mostly* made out of 83 with Longwood (which was geographically isolated in 81) and Washington and Lee (the farthest north of the I-81 chapters?) coming in as well and Section 83 basically being the line between Richmond and Norfolk. I guess 83 has Virginia State in it, but unclear to me who gets Lynchburg College and Southern Virginia University. Also, does Section 82 go all the way down to the NC line?

Maps available?

Well, I should be able to figure out some of it by the actual vote which Section 81 held and which counties they removed...

Patience is a.... (wait, I know this one) ... um ... tip of the tongue... oh yeah, Virtue!
