Sorority Scrapbook (Little Sister Gift)
Hello everyone =) today I started work on my sorority scrapbook that I'm giving as a gift to my future little sister. My sorority has a ghost pledging process, so I'm having a difficult time obtaining any pictures from events thus far containing my future sister in it. SO, that being said, I'm trying to decide different layouts that I can do now, or things that I can prepare for her to add later. (I hope I'm making some sense here)
So far, I've done a title page with the name of the sorority I also plan on doing a page where all the sisters sign and welcome her to the sorority, a family tree page a bid dinner page rush events page a big sis/little sis page does anyone else have any cute creative ideas of what they have included in their scrapbook? :D I'd appreciate any help, as I've dug through the search box quite a bit thus far, but no luck. |
what's a ghost pledging process?

Nope sorry, I'm an alum initiate and they wouldn't allow Casper in the room since he's a boy and all.

As for the scrapbook it sounds awesome so far, but it is kinda hard to give further suggestions until we understand what a ghost pledge is? (I am guessing this is not an NPC? Since we don't have pledges?) |

ghost pledging in my sorority is when bids are given in secret, and you aren't to tell anyone you are pledging our sorority until after you are initiated. So when we have bid dinner, etc, we are not allowed to post pictures of pledges, etc. until they are initiated because unfortunately, not everyone makes it. :( we have already lost two pledges who attended bid dinner this semester.

why dont you post your picture for us? i mean, youre initiated already. come on. humor us. |
So does your sorority do recruitment separately from the NPC organizations? I imagine it would be pretty easy to figure out who your new members were if you participated in formal recruitment.

I'll try to explain again, sorry.
When we do recruitment, and find interested girls- we give out bids. The bids are given in bid letters. Pledge can decide to accept or decline bid. Pledges are taken to bid dinner (invited in bid letter). Pledges are not to tell anyone that they are pledging our sorority until after they are initiated. (cannot wear colors, letters, etc.) To be initiated, they must complete the 6 week pledge process. Its really not that complicated or special, hope this makes more sense. |
And your school is ok with this? Don't most schools require a list of new members from each organization?
