Prisoners re-enter society

Hi everyone, I think that every person has his right to live in a society no matter even if he was a prisoner in his early life. Most of the prisoners are racial or ethnic minorities and have difficulty in re-entering the society as they are faced with poverty and this leads to crime for which they are re-arrested are convicted and re-incarcerated and this adds a burden on the government in respect of tax-payers. What are your views on this?

What exactly are you asking? Our opinions about prisoners re-entering society? Theoretically, if they're rehabilitated when they get out, it won't matter. We wouldn't know that they were ex-offenders anyway, since they wouldn't be commiting crimes.

There are a lot of job positions that someone with a felony can't hold. Maybe that's where he/she is going.

Hey, here's a novel idea - don't steal things, don't play around with guns, don't beat people up, don't sling drugs. It's not really that hard.

Making prisons is big business. That is why they are in there. Going back makes some fool make money. I do not know who that fool is. It is the biggest flimflam ever manifested on all of us.

The sad part is the "criminal" or "felon" that goes in there is NOT a joke. They have killed, robbed, assaulted, violent crimes or sex crimes. Most are ignorant. And when their term is up and they have served their time, they still have to meet with their probation officers and many of them fail to follow rules as a condition of their release.

I don't proclaim to know of any solution to this situation. All I know is do not commit crime and do not get accused of a crime.

There was an NPR radio show were many in the prison industry basically saying there is no rehab in prison. Zero. They feared another Attica... This show was ~2 years ago. It scared me.

Remember, jail is different from prison, which I think is different form state penitentiary.

My views?

Don't commit crimes.
Don't be poor.

Haha.
