Rebuilding vs. your team just suck
 

At what point do you say that the team is no longer rebuilding, but they just suck?

After 3 years of "rebuilding"?

The Detroit Lions have been "rebuilding" for over 50 years.. yeah, they just suck.

Well, the Columbus Blue Jackets started building with the 2000 NHL Draft. They still haven't quite got the thing built to specifications yet. Maybe next year...

But I think we did better this year then in previous years..baby steps..baby steps (that last game against the Wings was crap though..the winning goal. WTF Pascal?!)

Yes, we weren't mathematically eliminated from the playoffs until the end of March. That's definitely improvement. However, we were all kinds of yuck for the most part post-ASB. Consistency is key, but I'll say the CBJ are still rebuilding for at least another year. Let's see what Howson can do this summer about getting us a real center for Nash and a couple of talented defensemen who AREN'T pining for their old team.

How long does it take before you as a fan give up on the "rebuilding" and just enjoy the ride of being a fan? Eight years? Nine? A lifetime? I guess I'll be finding out when it comes to these Jackets. I'm just hooked.

The Bucs fired the best coach ever a few years ago, and the next year won a Super Bowl with the old team and the stupid new young coach got all the credit!

Of course, they have been "rebuilding" the team for the last 6 years!

But then again, the Bucs are the only team in the NFL to have a 0-16 record! :mad:
