MTV's "Rock the Cradle"
 

Has anyone seen this new show on MTV called "Rock the Cradle"? It features the grown children (17 and up) of celebrities while they compete for a recording contract. Some of the participants are the son of Al B. Sure, daughter of MC Hammer, and son of Bobby Brown.

If you saw the first episode, what did you think? I think all of them can sing but Bobby Brown's son needs vocal lessons because I think he can give more than he's giving. Al B. Sure's son thinks he's a lover but he can sing a little and I just love MC Hammer's daughter and her earthy style.

If you haven't seen it yet, the 2nd episode will be on this Thursday at 10PM ET.

I have had some involvement with the promotion side of the show so I am definitely a bit biased, but I think this show is great! It is all really because of the contestants, each one of them has something very unique about them and they are all extremely likable. Who do you think has what it takes to win it all?

I caught part of this show last night and I got giggly seeing Al B. Sure, my crush from 20+ years ago came roaring back! It cracks me up they call his son Lil B. Sure. And it's too bad he didn't get his Dad's looks or all of his talent. He was just ok last night. And I thought Bobby's kid did pretty well, how did Olivia Newton John's daughter make it through? She was awful. So far, Dee Snider's son seems to be the only one with the combination of some talent and good showmanship. (Hammer's daughter seems sweet, but so uncomfortable on stage)

I think of Jill Scott when I see MC Hammer's daughter. I think the show is not the best venue to show off her skills.
