Kids and Mixed Martial Arts

I was just watching an article where the MMA is becoming so popular, that schools are being formed to train children as young as 6 years old.

I think this is 2 steps beyond teaching kids karate, tae kwon do or judo.

Som pundits say that because it is a very brutal sport among adults, that teaching kids will result in increased injuries as bones are not yet fully develpoed and concerns about aggressive behavior.

What are your thoughts?

That stuff is awful. We have a son and daughter in tae kwon do and their instructors are forever warning them about not using it out of class unless they're attacked. MMA would only encourage them to fight outside of class.

This is the most inane thing I have ever seen and should be outlawed asap.

Since this is done by a father in Carthage, Mo. in the SW part of the state, I hope the morons in Jefferson City, the capitol will enact a law against it.

The bodies of these children are not formed good enough to withstand the possible harms that can occur.

as someone who trains in karate and juijitsu, i would say that this is actually at least two steps behind them

MMA is a sport and only sport where as karate only added sport like elements so it would not be banned after WWII
