Help- Kentucky bound!

Okay, Sorors-
After spending the past 3 years in the Germany Alumnae Chapter, we finally got word that our next duty station will be Fort Knox, Kentucky, so I will soon be a Mighty Midwest Soror! I am a native New Yorker and it was hard enough leaving there to Texas, then Texas to Germany, now we are moving again to yet another destination. I have not really heard much good about this part of Kentucky, but always one to look for the silver lining, I was wondering if anyone has had any experiences or suggestion they care to share about the alumnae chapters there or their expeiences. We are scheduled to arrive in Kentucky the first week of July, so I'm trying to hit the ground running. Work wise I am in the mental health field (MA in Counseling Psychology) and am prepared to travel. I looked on the Mighty Midwest website for chapter info, but didn't get much and the links that I was able to find on Google were inactive. I will keep looking on my end, but any insider info I could get from my fabulous Sorors would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
P.S
For those of you on GP, yes, I'm the same Mighty Quinn-LOL.

Same answer I gave you on GP. :p

ETA: I am waiting to hear back about the Fort Knox Chapter, but NiaX could probably give you a quicker answer.

Soror Ladygreek- I took your advice and emailed the state coordinator (Soror Johnson) and she emailed me back the same day! Indeed there is a chapter in Fort Knox, and according to her, they are very active which is a plus for me. She passed my email onto the chapter president and warmly e-welcomed me to the Blue Grass state! I must say, this is a wonderful welcome and I was definitely left with a warm fuzzy! Thanks for your help!

YAY!!!!! Yes, we would love to have you in the Bluegrass State! Let me know what other info you need. I wish you were going to arrive in May.. the state is just bustling during Derby time.

Big hugs to you and your fam!

Thank God that you have people to look out for you and do stuff with when you get there. Ft. Knox is NOT the "spot" (speaking from a military standpoint). Best of luck

The General is a soror? Serious question, because I really don't know. I would have thought a soror would have been more encouraging.

Thanks Soror! I was a lot more apprehensive about moving to Kentucky until I started getting all this love from my beautiful Sorors holding down the midwest. I'm sure things will work out for the best, but the unknown is always a little scary for me.
