Getting a Flag
Does anyone know where I can get a fraternity flag and how much they usually cost? I thought about having one made but I would prefer one that was made up to national's standards.

We got one here as our alumni took ours when we got kicked off in 2001 and have yet to return it. This one is well worth it, great for tail gating. |
I got one from IHQ some time back. They had different sizes and of course different prices.
You may need to call and see if they do still carry them. Depending on the size of the one on ebay, $30.00 is a good price. Mine was $65.00 from IHQ but cloth, not a rayon type. |
Guys: If you're gonna buy a flag, do it the right way. It appears that this company isn't even one of the licensed firms that are allowed to produce our flag. From the web shot, it appears to be silk-screened & looks shoddy.
To my knowledge, the only place to get one is from the firm in MI that produces our ritual regalia. As I recall, they come in various sizes (e.g. 2' x 3'), and don't expect to pay $30. Try around $200+ - they're hand-stitched. You get what you pay for, as they say...check w/IHQ or your ELC. In ZAX, BF |
Yes, I got mine through IHQ and it cost around $200 - but it's BIG - a 5x8 footer and top quality.

Yeah, we are ordering one right now from the same place that IHQ recommends, but it will take some time. We've been waiting a while, so order as soon as possible.

picky picky, but...
I've seen the $30 flag on ebay, and now from the link above. I don't like
it because the crescent is incorrect (the bottom is on top of the cross, should be on the bottom) and the proportions are off. But then I'm very picky about such things. I'm sure they got this image from a prominent "flag" website. It has the exact same (obviously hand-drawn) image, submitted by a brother many years ago. Maybe the above company will get the correct design. It can be found in the Paed. of course. Kevin Kappa-Omega 958 |
