Well, I'm back
About 2 1/2 months ago I logged onto Greekchat and thought to myself "I'm just so sick of thinking and talking about greek life and fraternities."
I just needed a break from it. Over the last two months, not a single greek thought entered my head. And if I felt one coming on, I just pushed it to the back of my head behind "get gas" and "buy toilet paper". This phase reminded me of my senior year. I was so burnt out, that I really didn't care about greek life anymore. Has anyone else gone through a stage like that? How do people handle the overload/over exposed feelings when you are a greek/LXA? Has anyone else thought "if I see purple, green and gold again or have to tell some stupid freshman about principles and ideals, I'm going to fuckin' puke." Is it normal to want a break? |
Burn out, yes.
Normal for wanting a break, yes. Been there and done it and then climbed back in the saddle again! |
Yep, that's definitely happened before. I've been lucky enough to keep it in check while still in office but it seems to affect alumni especially strongly.
