Cancun-Fav Clubs/Hotels/Student Travel Grps

I went to Cancun this past spring break and had the absolute time of my life. Everyone HAS to go there at least once because it will be the most awesome experience. My friends and I went through suncoast vacations and everything was fine, except that our flight was delayed 8 hours going there, so there were kids all over the airport sleeping(We had a early morning flight). Then on before the flight home, we were delayed another 8 hours as well...which sucked. But other than the delays, everything went smoothly. We stayed at the Continental Villas Plaza which was fine, except for the fact that I think I only got to take one hot shower the whole week because it took around 45 min. for the water to warm up! My favorite club was LaBoom and Pat O'Brien's Mardi Gras party was insane.

I'm going to plan another trip to Cancun for this year's Spring Break w/ some of my sisters, but I wanted to hear some crazy Cancun stories from people. Also, I want to know what student travel groups you used, hotels you stayed at (that were nice), and some of the other things you did there. Thanks a lot!

I just got back from a week in Cabo San Lucas and we had the most amazing time. We're already planning a quick 4 day trip back in October.

It was super cheap to get there and stay there. Food and drinks were normal U.S. Big City prices, but it was still a great deal. We stayed at the Hacienda Beach Resort--best location in Cabo--close to the beach bars for Happy Hour, close to the Marina for dinner--close to donwtown for partying. And HAcienda has a private beach (with waiters walking up and down to bring you margaritas and food) and a great pool. I totally recommend staying there!

best night spot is by far El Squid Roe. Giggling Marlin and Cabo Wabo good too but not nearly as fun as Squid. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif

Do you think it's a bad idea to go there your fresh. year? Should I wait until Senior year or something? I never went on my high school senior trip there, because none of my friends were going and it was expensive.

Someone once told me never to go on Spring Break your Freshman year of college becuase you'll go crazy and everyone else will have to take care of you. And never go on Spring Break your senior year becuase you'll be the one stuck taking care of everyone else. Instead go your soph or junior years. But hey, if you can afford it - i say go every year http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif

And as far as Acapulco goes - It's gorgeous there! La Princesa, the Hyatt, and La Condesa del Mar are all fabulous hotels - La Condessa and Hyatt especially if you want to be close to the beach and right in the downtown area. As far as clubs and stuff goes - definitly hit Senor Frogs and Carlos N Charlies if you're more into the bar atmosphere with good music, if you want to dance go to Aladin, Zucca, Beach Disco http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif

I'm trying for a package deal for Puerto Rico during the holidays(vacation time). I have few ideas for hotels. I really like the Ritz there and the San Juan Marriott is pretty cool too. But I might look into a trip to Europe. South France maybe.
