Sigma Chi-University of Missouri-Columbia; Good News for a change
MU to host 1,500 for fraternity workshop
A University of Missouri-Columbia fraternity suspended five years ago for hazing is getting a leg up in its efforts to re-establish a chapter in Columbia. Sigma Chi International Fraternity plans to hold its annual Balfour Leadership Training Workshop at MU, which is expected to send more than 1,500 fraternity leaders and alumni to town Aug. 2-4. After more than 100 years on the local Greek landscape, the MU chapter of Sigma Chi lost its charter in 2002 for four years for hazing incidents such as making pledges pour ammonia on their heads and having them drink from a spit cup. The fraternity - now a colony on campus rather than a chapter - is nearing the end of the reorganization process, said Chris Pullen, Sigma Chi vice president. http://www.showmenews.com/2007/Feb/20070212News001.asp |

I'm just glad Sigma Chi has a colony that is doing well, and hope they are soon a credit to their fraternity once they become a chapter.

It's always good to see a bad situation corrected. Mizzou is a strong Greek campus and this is a good thing for both Sigma Chi and the college.

I know you've got a beef with GC, but you need to either get over it, or move on. Telling posters who have been here forever what to do isn't going to earn you any points, and is actually just as rude as what you've previously lamented about. |

Locked. If y'all want to talk about Sigma Chi's Mu Chapter's progress, great. Otherwise, the personal attacks and bickering have ruined the thread.
I apologize that I missed a few posts when I tried to salvage the thread yesterday, there are clearly some others which needed to be deleted. |
