Norwegian-Americans!
I was about to hijack ANOTHER thread to bring out the Norwegian pride, but I decided it would be better to give it its own thread.
Army Wife mentioned how many Norwegians there are around San Francisco. My Sons of Norway lodge is about an hour south of there. We have a lodge in SF that just celebrated its centennial! That's the first one in our district. We must all dine on Norwegian delicacies (hehe) at Norway Day! Come on, be uber Norwegian with me in this thread! |
oxymoron?

That was why I heehee'd. Ever had lutefisk?
|
Norwegian Licorice...just thinking about it makes me gag.
|
Oh yeah, like Lakerol? Yuck!
|
Lucy, I mentioned how many were in Minnesota. (where MY relatives come from). I didn't even know that San Fran had a lot of them too. I wonder if they did the Pioneer Wagon Trains or if they took a water route when they immigrated to Calif.?
I think the only Norweigian food I like is the cookies. ha ha. The luetfisk just freaked me out. |
But YUM for Rice Cream! (You can keep the lutefisk)
