I'm excited!
I just had an Mp3 reading car stereo put in my car. Which means I can save Mp3's as files on a storage disk and play them in the car, no conversion required.
Just fooling around I saved 33 tracks on a disk last night and still had enough room to put 80 more! (James rubs his hands gleefully) Over a hundred of my favorite songs on one disk! If I have a hundred favorite songs . . . |
Even if you did put 100 songs on there, you wouldn't have to change the cd forever!!!
Have fun with your new "toy" as I still have only a one disc cd player in my little car.... ~Sarah http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif |
That's cool man, what was the cost for this?
Also, do you have a portable mp3 player, i've been looking at them for a couple years now. And how do these car players differ from the handheld ones? 17 more ?'s to go... |

One of my bros got a stereo like that for his car. He keeps about 2 months worth of music in his car at all times http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif I think he paid about $600 for it a year ago.

My friend told me about this program called "Morpheus" that you can download from musiccity.com It plays MP3's on your computer, and you can even download NEW ones---it's even better than Napster, and they don't have a lawsuit against them somehow!
Well, I also recently got a new fancy-shmancy computer (LOL), and it has a CD burner and DVD player on it. So I'm going to burn the MP3's to CDs so I can play the CDs at parties and stuff! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif ------------------ ***Tinkerbell*** ~~~Don't worry, be happy!~~~ |
Ooh, envy!!! I only have a cassette player, and a really crappy portable CD player that hooks into it - you can barely hear the music even if you crank it to max volume. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/frown.gif I've copied a few of my favorite CDs onto tapes just for the car... I will probably be replacing my car some time in the next 2-3 years so I can't be bothered upgrading the sound system.

Cost was about $179 Its a standard stereo head with a CD player that plays standard CD's and will read MP3 files burned into a storage CD. Which is why it can hold so many files. If I burned a normal converted MP3 CD it might hold 20 tracks tops. I also have it coneected to a 10 disk cd changer in the trunk . . . but I am having fun with the mp3's. I'm not sure the difference is the hand held one a CD player? I would like to buy a portable CD player that plays can read mp3 files. |
