Sorostitute
. . . coming over from the Fraternity Recruitment forum.
Sororstitute - hilariously funny or offensive? I realize context matters, so let's just say someone you don't know at all or not well uses it in conversation. Funny - :D = 0 Offensive - :mad: = 1 |
*Very* offensive.
:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: But then again, I'm old. |
Offensive.
So, updated tally: Funny = 0 :D Offensive = 3 :mad::mad::mad: |
Vote #4 for offensive.
|
Funny = 0 :D
Offensive = 4 :mad::mad::mad::mad: |
;)
|
;) = I am way too smart to get involved in this. (?!)
|
Does anyone, especially with the context given and this being GreekChat, expect anything other than a run-away win for "offensive"?
|
offensive.
|
Offensive...
|
Well, there were certainly a few who defended it as non-offensive, and even stated they didn't know of any sorority women who would be offended.
So, I figured I'd find out if I am totally out of touch, what with being old and all. I would HOPE it would be a runaway win for offensive, but I don't want to assume. |
Very offensive. :mad:

It just means that you're complete in touch with GreekChat. Even in real life, it'd be hard to get a sense of it because few undergraduate woman are going to admit to an alumna that they're cool with being called a sorostitute, just as they wouldn't admit that they thinks it's okay to have stupid pictures up on Facebook. Their actual practices might be quite different. |
i would say that generally speaking, i would think women love being called "Sororsitutes" about as much as guys like their fraternities called "Frats"... except for maybe PhiGam... he likes the word "fratty".
