Sororities at Samford Univ

My daughter is considering Samford in the fall. Does anyone have any information about the sororities there?

Second hand info., but I know a former student of mine who LOVED the school and her sisters in AOII!

our daughter is a sophomore at samford and is a member of zta. samford has a wonderful group of npc sororities - alpha delta pi, alpha omicron pi, chi omega, phi mu and zeta tau alpha. the campus is very panhellenically minded and everyone seems to have good friends who are members of the other sororities. many of the sororities at samford consistently win top national awards from their headquarters.

samford holds a deferred recruitment, about 3 weeks after school has started. greek life usually holds an information session sometime during the freshman orientations-sometimes on the final day of orientation after the required events are over. at the end of the presentation ifc and panhellenic have a table set up with rush information and panhellenic distributes the rush booklets, which contain financial information about each chapter as well as colors, chapter name, phil. etc. and the recruitment enrollment form. it is good to have recommendations at samford.

by the way, our daughter LOVES samford and is excited that our son will be attending samford in the fall as an incoming freshman.

please feel free to pm me for more information.

Me too! We live about 3 hours away and several of my friends children are students (and greeks) there. They absolutely love it.

A couple of girls I knew in high school are Chi Omegas there. If I were to judge the chapter based on the two of them, I'd say they're probably very nice, personable, upstanding women.

A couple of my daughter's classmates attend there as well. They both pledged Phi Mu in Sept. In the past girls from our school have also been ADPi's. I know they all loved it there, but other than a general "she loves it" from the moms, I don't know much else.

Best wishes on making that college decision.

you have described the vast majority of the student population at samford-just add men in addition to women. good kids from good homes who are also good students. we could not be happier with our daughters experience so far.

My friend's daughters both pledged ADPi at Samford. They seem to love it - don't think you can go wrong.

You will find that most of the women at Samford are very classy and respectable, Greek or not. This is a school that takes pride in their students, and many enjoy the activities on campus. All of the chapters up there are made up on wonderful women, and any lady going through recruitment up there is thrilled to recieve a bid.

I didn't mean to imply they were the only ones, I just know of them personally.
