Spinoff: raising the chapter GPA

Spinning off a topic brought up in the Sorority Recruitment forum, what does your chapter do it to maintain a high GPA or raise the chapter GPA?

Currently, my chapter has mandatory study hours for all members. GPAs are taken into account as we have a "tiered system." For example, a sister with a 3.0 would have two study hours.

We had tiered study hours as well, but only for people below our goal GPA. Our minimum was the one set by panhel, which was higher than our National requirement, then our goal was a 3.3 so anyone below that had study hours, anyone above did not. All NMs had study hours as part of the NM program.

When we raised it to 3.3 some people had to start doing hours, and there was some fuss, but in the end it wasn't a big deal.

We have a system for study hours. We've always been lucky to have a good VP Scholarship. Mostly what helps is to have sisters' support and for the VP Scholarship to check up on girls often. Actually our new member class from this fall has been more motivated than any other and have set a good example for the rest of the chapter! They just genuinely take pride in their grades.
