Freaky Party Invitation???

Does anyone know what a Hautekoko Party is? I have never heard of this. From reading the invitation, it left me confused. Or maybe I'm reading into it since I have no clue what it is? It made me feel old . . . I used to know all the party themes :( BTW, Google and Wikepedia weren't any help.

Anyway, the invite came from an acquaintance and no, I haven't asked directly. The invite said the following:

"_____(name of host) would like to invite you to a night filled with fun and excitement. So if you want a little adventure and would like to add some accessories to your love life, you don't want to miss this party. So... leave your work behind and bring the right woman to the bedroom OR gentlemen who are attending, bring the right man to the bedroom. You must be at least 18 years old to attend. Attire for women: cocktail dresses. Attire for men: Business casual. Also, at this party, we don't use our real names. You need to have a bedroom name for the night. The most creative name wins a free gift."

Any thoughts on what this invite is all about?

Sounds like a swinger party.

Silly me thought the name might be Japanese and tried a translator site. The word doesn't exist in Japanese.

Is it a funny spelling for "hot coco?"

See, DST you and I had similar thoughts . . . I got the invite from a coworker. I was like  because I couldn't believe that I got this at work. But since I had no idea what it was about, I thought I might be reading into it. Don't people know its work and what could happen if freaky stuff about you gets out? And I'm not talking about a promotion!

The bold part makes me think of a toy party.

That invite is offensive. That kind of thing should only go out to an exclusive circle of people who you KNOW get down like that.

Cuss that coworker out for good measure. He/she can't report you because you can say they were passing out freaky invites at work. :p

I thought that too but the rest of the message seems like they are testing the toys out at the party. LOL.

Even sex toy party invites should be handled differently than sistergreek says this invite was handled.

Thought about that one too . . . do I have "newly single - needs help" written on my forehead? lol

LOL. Probably not.

If this is just a sex toy party, the host is defintely playing up a theme.

Exactly! How do they know I'm not gonna feel sexually harrassed?! It did piss me off that I got this at work . . . especially since I'm one of those that doesn't mix my work life with my personal life. Too risky. But then again, not knowing what it was about, I thought I'd find out the facts first. Believe me, after I find out, it will be handled. But see, I'm not going to do anything just in case it really is a funny spelling for HOT COCO :D

The only thing I do socially outside of work is play Softball.

I'm totally intrigued by this, lol. Where is the party? A hotel?

I agree, it should not be handed out at work. But you know when people are selling stuff, they sometimes have no boundaries. Are you the only coworker that got one?

LOL @ trying out the toys at the party. BUT, I've never heard of folks wearing cocktail dresses to a toy party.

The invite did say to leave the work behind and bring that special someone to the bedroom. At least it is a somewhat dressy affair--cocktail attire. Maybe you all will be drinking HOT COCO and pontificating rather than pouring it on each other and fornicating. :p

So are you saying that you know for a fact that a Hautekoko party is the same as a Passion Party? Why the word Hautekoko? Isn't a Passion Party the same as a toy party?
